OUR PROJECTS

St. Anthony’s Gardens

Multi-Family

Since 1976, Gibbs Construction has been the team behind the buildings where we all work and play, grow up, grow smart, and grow old. We're the hardhats you've seen on almost every campus, on every corner. The group behind the Superdome re-skin. The Smoothie King Arena. The Audubon Institute's Cool Zoo. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. We work to ensure that every project we touch truly becomes part of the neighborhoods we love.

Gibbs Project View

St. Anthony’s Gardens is a new 225,000-square-foot senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care units on a 25-acre site. The development consists of 213 residences, including 120 apartments for independent living (120,000 square feet total) in one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans, 57 apartments for assisted living (totaling 47,000 square feet) ranging from studios to one- and two- bedroom units, and 36 private suites (in 21,000 square feet) for memory care.

The project’s original budget was $35 million, and when the job bid, it came in at $44 million. Gibbs Construction worked closely for many months with the owner and architect to value engineer the original design to bring it into budget. The contract was ultimately signed at $38 million, after some $6 million of scope was successfully adjusted.
