Edward Methe serves as Gibbs Construction's Executive Vice President, solidifying his crucial role within the organization. With an association dating back to 1979, Ed's profound expertise is rooted in the numerous vital roles he has fulfilled throughout his tenure.
Beginning his journey in the finance department, he swiftly climbed the ranks, serving as a Business Manager and later Chief Financial Officer, wherein he substantially influenced the company's financial stability and growth. His extraordinary finance expertise was further exemplified through his active involvement in the National Association of Accountants' New Orleans chapter as a board member and secretary, as well as serving on the board of directors of the Greater New Orleans, Inc.
Ed's commitment to the construction industry is also echoed in his dedication to the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). As a founding director and two-time past president of the CFMA's Louisiana chapter, he demonstrated both his leadership abilities and his profound understanding of construction finance.
In the larger construction industry, Edward Methe has played a pivotal role as part of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). He served multiple leadership positions in the ABC's New Orleans/Bayou chapter, notably acting as the board chair in 2001 and as a consistent board member and executive committee member for many years.
As the company's Executive Vice President, Ed continues his hands-on approach by overseeing the company’s Safety Program, managing insurance, claims, and loss control, and leading the company’s compliance and document control procedures.
